The University of Indonesia has a special staff member or team whose primary responsibility is to promote sustainable development, as indicated by the Rector’s Decree No. 1707/SK/R/UI/2022. This letter states the establishment of the UI Sustainable Campus Development Task Force, which is a strategic step in integrating sustainability principles into the university’s development and operations to create a more competent academic environment.
The Faculty of Medicine has a task force team under Green Metric that manages setting and infrastructure, energy and climate changes, waste, water, research and education, and transformation. The UI Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) organized the 9th Batch of University of Indonesia Permanent Employee Candidate Induction (CPUI) in collaboration with the Management Institute of the UI Faculty of Economics and Business (LM FEB UI). This training is a mandatory program for prospective permanent employees as preparation before being appointed as permanent UI employees. CPUI Batch 9 Induction activities lasted for 6 days, starting with a 3-day workshop at the Auditorium Building 1 Faculty of Cultural Sciences UI, followed by capacity building activities.
The Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI) held Service Excellence Training led by public communication expert, Reska Herlambang. Universitas Indonesia (UI) prioritizes integrity and transparency by implementing a Whistleblowing System (WBS UI), which enables the reporting of suspected violations to build a rule-abiding and ethical environment. The Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB UI) is determined to create a transparent, clean, and efficient bureaucracy by providing excellent public services. As a step towards a Free from Corruption Area (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (WBBM), FIB UI plans to build an Integrity Zone as part of its main strategy, emphasizing accountable and transparent governance based on the principles of excellence, service, and innovation.
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA) continues to innovate and develop in order to realize good university governance. This effort is carried out through continuous supervision in every business process. The supervision is focused on the non-academic field to be aligned and in line with academic activities. This internal supervision manual was prepared as a form of implementation of the internal audit charter which is the mandate of the UI Internal Audit Unit, as well as part of strengthening the supervisory system in order to achieve the WBK-WBBM Integrity Zone. This manual is expected to be a reference in the implementation of internal supervision at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences.

Universitas Indonesia (UI) has proactively developed the University of Indonesia Alleged Violation Reporting System (SIPDUGA UI), which is a mechanism for reporting actions or deeds that allegedly violate the UI code of ethics and behavior and/or internal regulations and/or laws and regulations committed by UI citizens. The realization of SIPDUGA UI is motivated by efforts to implement Good University Governance (GUG) consistently and sustainably. It is also an implementation of one of UI’s Strategic Plans on law enforcement.
In addition, a number of faculties at UI such as the Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Public Health, have implemented digital solutions by presenting specialized websites. This platform not only presents complete information, but also facilitates the reporting of violations, including gratuities, within each faculty. With these digital services, the accessibility and ease of reporting violations for lecturers, students, and staff has increased, while strengthening a culture of transparency and ethical awareness.

The Faculty of Nursing (FoN UI) showcased its commitment by taking part in the UI GreenMetric assessment—focused on key environmental indicators—and securing third place in 2023, affirming its active role in implementing green initiatives.

Universitas Indonesia (UI) supports active student participation in campus governance through the Student Executive Board (BEM UI). Every year, UI students from various levels of education, ranging from Diploma, Undergraduate, to Postgraduate, participate in university elections to determine the Chairperson of BEM UI. This election adopts the principle of one student, one vote and takes place democratically under the supervision of the Student Election Committee (KP), without any intervention from the university.
