Our Governance Practices through the Years
In 2023,
Universitas Indonesia strengthened our governance framework by embedding transparency, integrity, and inclusivity into our operations. Through initiatives such as the sexual violence task force (Satgas PPKS), and comprehensive anti-corruption reforms, UI strengthened our accountability and ethical standards. We also expanded whistleblowing and reporting systems, reinforced our nine core values through faculty-led programs, and ensured transparency in financial and strategic decisions. With democratic student representation and integrity zones across faculties, UI continues to foster a safe, ethical, and inclusive academic environment, solidifying its role as a leading institution committed to responsible governance.
In 2024,
Universitas Indonesia advanced our governance agenda by deepening reforms introduced in 2023 and embedding integrity, inclusivity, and transparency across all faculties. With the introduction of a new Code of Ethics and Code of Behavior, expanded Integrity Zones, and enhanced digital reporting systems, UI strengthened our anti-corruption framework and accountability mechanisms. Faculty-level sustainability committees linked governance with ecological responsibility, while democratic student representation was reinforced through autonomous faculty-level organizations. By expanding financial transparency and institutional oversight, UI continues to position ourself as a model of responsible governance in higher education, ensuring that leadership, ethics, and sustainability converge to drive long-term excellence and societal impact.
In 2025,
Universitas Indonesia furthered our commitment to good governance by institutionalizing integrity and sustainability reforms. The establishment of the Subdirectorate for Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct Handling under DPAI marked a permanent commitment to ethical governance and the prevention of sexual violence, ensuring coordinated policies, budgets, and awareness programs in partnership with Satgas PPKS. New anti-corruption regulations safeguarded institutional resources and strengthened financial transparency. Meanwhile, the formal update of the UI Sustainable Green Campus Task Force embedded sustainability into governance structures to advance environmental responsibility across campus. Together, these measures reflect UI’s progression from structural reforms in 2024 to institutionalized accountability, inclusivity, and sustainability in 2025.
In 2026,
Universitas Indonesia continues to improve upon our governance through practices and policies that reflect environmental and social aspects of sustainability, as well as UI’s nine values.
